It appears that VLC developers have listened closely to their user base and heard their demands about certain language translations that didn’t quite cut it for them.

As such, VideoLAN introduced new localizations in LC Media Player 1.1.10.1 which, on all supported platforms, brings updates for Norwegian Bokmal, Slovak, Afrikaans, Luganda, Brazillian Portuguese, Irish, Thai, Estonian, Chinese, Polish, Dutch, German, Galician, Bulgarian, Lithuanian and Japanese translations.

Other tweaks to the latest version of the media player include a fix for audio distortions and adaptive streaming resolution, along with security improvements. There are currently two versions of VLC with versions for Mac computers running Intel chips and one for Mac computers running the latest M1 chips.
